Featured Vortex Phase Plates RPC Photonics is now offering a vortex phase plate with charge 2 (VPP-2) in addition to its current VPP-1 product for charge-1 vortices.
Vortex phase plates impart a spiral phase to an incoming wavefront and are used in a wide variety of fields such as communications, astronomy, and particle trapping.
RPC Photonics utilizes its laserwriting process to produce vortex phase plates as analog surface-relief patterns and has offered for some time a vortex phase plate product that includes several charge-1 vortex patterns designed for wavelengths in the range of 400 to 1000 microns.
We are now offering a similar product, model VPP-2, with continuous-phase charge 2 vortex phase plates also designed for wavelengths in the range of 400 to 1000 microns.
